THE BIG BANG....AND THEN UP AND OVER THE HILL!

SUNDAY MORNING - September 18, 2011 - Cabus, Garstang - It has been a few days of celebrating Geoff's 65th birthday and we had had a wonderful time.   I have become sort of a celebrity of sorts because of him and keep getting recognition as the "lady from America"!  Geoff has lots and lots of friends from all walks of life and all ages and at least 100 of them helped celebrate his birthday on Friday nite at Caldervale Country Club with The Fabulous Allstars band.  I met SOOOOOOO many people...but I am ahead of myself...first his birthday, Thursday, dawned sunny and bright!

His new bathrobe from Clarky & Caroline!

The birthday boy:  Over the Hill!
Some new Florida duds from me!  Very GQ!

Off we went to Lancaster and a bit of a drive around the area of Glasson Dock--it was a beautiful day:
A smooch for the birthday boy!

We went to The Crofters for dinner that night and met up with some of his friends (Leslie, Wendy, Andrew & his son, Graham)--others stopped by the table and gave him birthday wishes.  It was a fun evening!

Friday the day bloomed rainy and dull but not to put a damper on the upcoming party in the evening!
We had a lovely late lunch at Bellflower before heading to The Crofter's to get ready for the party.

THE cake--his VW bus as an ice cream truck..too cute!
The actual VW above--to compare!  :)
A very special hat!

We just had a wonderful, wonderful time...and Geoff spent almost 2 hours the next morning opening up all the cute birthday cards from all his friends.   We spent Saturday lying low and then went back to the Caldervale club last night for the normal Saturday night live entertainment, bingo (different than ours), raffle and other merriment.  It has been quite a busy but delightful few days celebrating the "big bang" with Geoff.  I was honored to be a part of it.   Today it is off to Blackpool (more on that later):

Love, Sue & Geoff Merrymakers!  xo
